Watford –Liverpool’s unbeaten record in the Premier League must stop at week 28. Facing the relegation team, Watford , the league leaders at the top were defeated 0-3.
Liverpool undergo an away duel against the 19th ranked team, Watford, at the Vicarage Road Stadium on Sunday (1/3/2020) early morning hrs. In the first half, both clubs played equally 0-0.
After the break, Watford went berserk and scored three goals through brace Ismaila Sarr and one goal by Troy Deeney. The home team closed the match with a 3-0 victory.
With this result, Watford moved up to rank 17th or one level from the relegation zone with 27 points. While Liverpool are still firmly on top of the standings with 79 points.

Watford made the opportunity through Gerard Delofeu in the ninth minute. The ball shot from the penalty box still hasn’t met the target.

Sarr returned to Liverpool’s nightmare through his second goal in the 60th minute. Utilizing bait Troy Deeney, he ran past Van Dijk and Lovren before struck the ball into Alisson’s goal. Watford moved away 2-0.
Liverpool tried to increase the breaking power by entering Adam Lallana and Divock Origi. Lallana hard kick in the 65th minute only hit Watford’s goal post.
Instead of scoring goals, Liverpool conceded again in the 71st minute. Starting from Alexander-Arnold’s mistake, Sarr was able to cut the ball before it got to Alisson.
The Senegalese player then gave the ball back which was immediately kicked by Troy Deeney into an empty Liverpool goal. Watford are 3-0 up.
Liverpool continued to try to minimize the situation for the remaining minutes. However, the meeting failed to penetrate the Watford defense line to attack the Reds until the game ended.
Complete match with Watford 3-0 victory. This was also Liverpool’s first defeat in this season’s Premier League competition.
