UEFA met again on Wednesday, taking the decision to postpone the international meetings scheduled for June.

At a new remote meeting on Wednesday, UEFA decided to postpone all of the international meetings scheduled for June.

While they had to face Ukraine and Finland in the framework of the friendly matches planned for March and already postponed, the Blues will therefore not play again until September, the period at which the next League of Nations is supposed to start.

The qualifying barrages for the Euro, also moved in June, were also postponed to a later date. “All matches for the men’s and women’s national teams scheduled to be played in June 2020 are postponed until further notice. This includes the play-offs for the UEFA EURO 2020 and the qualifying matches for the UEFA EURO 2021 women” , is it notably specified in a press release.

Youth competitions also concerned

Postponements which also concern international youth competitions, since priority will be given to club competitions (championships, national cups and European cups) as soon as the season can resume.

Thus, the Men’s Euro U17 and the Women’s Euro U19 are simply canceled, while the Men’s Euro U19 and Women’s U17 are postponed as qualifiers for the respective World Cups in each category.
