Watford host Manchester City in one of the most fascinating games of the round following the sacking of Nigel Pearson.

The Hornets are still in a good position to beat the fall and mystery surrounds Pearson's exit, so their reaction here will be revealing.

But Pep Guardiola's side are hardly the ideal opponents for Hayden Mullins' first game at the helm.

Citizens will be roughed up after being humiliated at the hands of Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-finals, putting an end to their hopes of a famous cup hat-trick, and there is now a great urgency to acquire some form before return to the Champions League.

Time And place
The match kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 21 at Vicarage Road.

Team news
Gerard Deulofeu (knee), Isaac Success (Achille) and Daryl Janmaat (knee) all came out. Deeney has had knee issues for a while, but he'll likely play through the pain here.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Joao Cancelo, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi could all be ready for run-outs if Guardiola turns his team around, with Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Aymeric Laporte due to a rest. While Gabriel Jesus could also take a break, having started six games in a row in all competitions.

The planned line-ups
Watford XI: Foster;  Femenia; Hughes, Mariappa, Kabasele, Dawson, Chalobah; Sarr, Doucoure, Welbeck; Deeney

Man City XI: Ederson; Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Silva; Sterling, Bernardo, Foden

The Hornets are in disarray and City will be fueled by the pain of losing the FA Cup semi-final last weekend, there has to be an away win here and more uncertainty at Vicarage Road before the last round of matches this weekend. 1-3.
