Lampard will have to choose between Billy Gilmore and Jorginho to replace Kante, while Kai Havertz will be looking forward to his first Premier League start since before Christmas after scoring last week in the third round of the FA Cup over Morecambe.
Lampard, meanwhile, hopes to benefit from an extended period of working with players after he gets over his busy holiday schedule.
He also expects to see a dramatic improvement after four defeats in six League games.
The Chelsea manager said: “This is a positive moment for two weeks. It was the first two weeks when we were able to work a whole week at a really physical level, which is important if you want to become a better team.
“I know the rules of football, what kind of team you have no matter, you need time to work especially with young or new players on the team.
Chelsea Predict XI (4-3-3): Mendy; Zuma, James, Thiago, Chilwell; Jorginho, Havertz, Mount; Werner, Ziech, Pulisic
Prediction: We say Fulham 1-2 Chelsea
This has everything you need for a very, very interesting football game, especially considering that Fulham will enter the competition thanks to an excellent game and result. Chelsea's league form has been disappointing in recent weeks, but we are just representing Lampard's team hitting all three points on Saturday.
