Team News

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has a lot to prove today as he faces a manager he has never beaten.

Tuchel has faced Guardiola five times in his coaching career, losing four of those encounters.

All four victories came while the Manchester City manager was in charge of Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard defeated Tuchel twice while in charge of Mainz in the 2013-2014 season and again when the German replaced Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund in the 2015-2016 season, with a goalless draw in between.

This will be the first time the two men meet while leading an English team.

Sergio Aguero, a Manchester City legend, has confirmed that he will leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.

Aguero will not play at Wembley today due to a muscle injury, which is a significant absence considering the star striker's dominance against Chelsea in the past.

Since moving to Manchester from Atletico Madrid in 2011, the Argentina international has scored 15 goals in 21 matches against the Blues in all competitions.

The 32-year-old has also provided three assists, giving him a total of 18 goals against the west Londoners.

Manchester City are still in contention for an unprecedented quadruple this season.

City are 11 points clear at the top of the table, have reached the FA Cup and Champions League semi-finals, and are set to face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup final on April 25.

If the Citizens win all of the aforementioned titles, they will be the first team in history to accomplish such a feat.

However, if Chelsea defeats Pep Guardiola's men today, their quadruple hopes will be officially dashed once more.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola appears to have chosen a 4-3-3 formation with eight changes from the team that defeated Borussia Dortmund in Germany on Wednesday.

Ederson is replaced in goal by Zack Steffen for yet another FA Cup match.

Joao Cancelo, who replaces Kyle Walker, starts at right-back, with Benjamin Mendy, who replaces Oleksandr Zinchenko, on the other side, and Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte, who replaces John Stones, in defense.

In midfield, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, and captain Fernandinho, who replaces Bernardo Silva, form a triangle.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel appears to have gone with a 3-4-3 formation, with three changes from the team that lost to Porto in Seville on Tuesday.

Kepa Arrizabala replaces Edouard Mendy between the sticks.

Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, and captain Cesar Azpilicueta form a defensive partnership.

Reece James plays right wing-back alongside Ben Chilwell, while Jorginho and N'Golo Kante combine in midfield.

The attack is led by Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, who replaces Christian Pulisic, and Timo Werner, who replaces Kai Havertz.
